Terms of Service
Last updated August 20, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and drop for use of our website and application. By creating an account or using drop, you agree to them. If you’re agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you’re authorised to do so.
Your account
drop is passwordless: you sign in with a one-time code sent to your email, so keep access to your inbox secure. You’re responsible for activity in your workspace and for the team members you invite. You must be at least 16 and use drop for lawful, business purposes.
Your data is yours
You own the data you put into drop — your clients, contacts and records. We claim no ownership of it. We process it only to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can export it to Excel at any time, and delete it by removing records or closing your workspace.
Acceptable use
Use drop for your own book of business. Don’t use it to store unlawful content, to send spam or unsolicited messages, to infringe others’ rights, to reverse-engineer or resell the service, or to probe, overload or interfere with its security or availability. Deep Dive is for legitimate research on companies and their published contacts — not for harvesting personal data at scale or any purpose that would breach applicable privacy laws.
Plans, billing and cancellation
- drop offers a free plan and paid plans billed per seat, per month, in AUD through Stripe.
- Paid features and AI credits are available while your subscription is active. Assigning a paid tier starts (or adds to) your subscription.
- You can change or cancel your plan at any time from the billing page. Changes take effect as described there; cancelling stops future charges — we don’t generally refund the current period unless required by law.
- Prices may change; we’ll give reasonable notice before a change affects you.
AI research (Deep Dive)
Deep Dive searches the public web and summarises what it finds, with citations. It’s a research aid, not a statement of fact by drop: findings are presented for you to review before anything is saved, and you’re responsible for how you use them. AI can be wrong or out of date — verify anything that matters. Your monthly AI credits are consumed as you run research; unused credits don’t roll over.
Our intellectual property
The drop software, brand, and website are ours (or our licensors’). These terms don’t grant you any right to our IP beyond using the service as intended. Feedback you send us, we may use freely to improve drop.
Availability and changes
We work to keep drop available and reliable, but we don’t promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may update, add, or remove features over time. If we plan to discontinue a significant feature, we’ll aim to give reasonable notice.
Disclaimers and liability
drop is provided “as is” to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under laws that can’t be excluded (including the Australian Consumer Law). Subject to that, to the maximum extent permitted by law our total liability arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim, and we’re not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
Suspension and termination
You can stop using drop and close your workspace at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are breached, if required by law, or to protect the service or other customers. On termination, your right to use drop ends; you can export your data first, and we’ll handle any remaining data as set out in the Privacy Policy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia, and the courts of Australia have jurisdiction over any dispute, without affecting mandatory consumer-protection rights in your location.
